There are things that haven’t changed about me since i’ve moved here (i still dont smoke, i continue to say ‘eh’ at the end of every question, i am still the best procrastinator you know etc) but one thing that my surroundings have influenced is my consumption of tea, yes, tea. Literally everyday i have at least one cup of tea and I know this is nothing compared to the other brits (my roommate richard has had 160+ cups of tea in the first two months we were here, we know because he finished one box of teabags and they had some ridiculous amount in them and we did the math…) but its strange for me to drink tea. I know my mum always drank a cup of tea every night but i never needed it like she did but now its just become habit. BUT, don’t worry, i’ve slowed down because my parents sent me a huge tub of Tim Hortons hot chocolate and my sister bought me two mugs (I didn’t have any mugs before and was drinking tea in my Ottawa Senators (FTW!) travel thermos) so now i’ve been having timmies hot chocolate every day. I figured its legit cuz ITS SNOWING HERE! hahah thought i’d throw that in there… another weird thing i just do not understand is the british peoples hatred for microwaved water. Now, ok, i know that sounds weird but back home when i needed to warm water up for tea or whatnot i just poured a glass of water, microwaved it with my teabag in it and boom it was steeped tea. none of this fancy-ass kettle shit but just the thought of microwaving to make hot tea is like blasphemy. I know i’m the weird one here but i thought i’d just point out this difference. alrightty, its 1233am here and my sleep cycle is just fucked thanks to the Sens. they were playing western conference teams so the games started around 130-2am here and ended ‘round 4am, which normally i don’t mind, especially because the games have been good EXCEPT THEY KEEP FUCKING LOSING IN THE LAST FUCKING MINUTES OF THE GAME LIKE C’MON FOR FUCKS SAKE SPEZZA STOP THROWING THE FUCKING PUCK TO CASPER OMG … breathe Ok, i’m back. but yeah, long live alfie. Anywho, i have to start and finish my portfolio before Djib gets here (4 days!!!) so we can just destroy LHR together. Talk to you all soon. nh
