Anonymous asked: THe flat you're renting, is it like a proper one or is it just a single room with shared kitchen and bathroom? Cause I've been looking at some apartments, but the ones who look kinda nice are really expencive, but on the other hand I don't want to stay in a shared apartment.

And thanks for your reply, it was very helpful :)

I’m staying in student accommodations at Marylebone Hall (on campus) so the set up is one single room with my own bathroom (there are pictures of my flat posted on this blog a couple months ago) and I share a kitchen with 6 people. so far its been really good. I got lucky with non-annoying roommates.

generally speaking, single studio flats will be expensive, especially in this area, but apply to student accommodations as soon as you can in april (even if you haven’t gotten a full offer yet) and cross your fingers that you find some people you like in first year to move out with.

Ive already started looking for a house to split with the friends i’ve made so far this year. next year is going to be amazing.
